When he woke, it was still dark in the bedroom -- which was good, because Devin had made his best guess as to when the sun would be rising. Devin woke Jazz up in his usual way -- which was to say he lightly touched and teased Jazz until his eyes fluttered open and a moan escaped his lips. Devin vaguely remembered that Jazz hadn’t had a shower the night before, so as much as he wanted to take Jazz in his mouth, he didn’t.
But that didn’t stop him from eliciting as many little whimpers and moans and gasps from Jazz before sliding himself between Jazz’s legs. He needed to have him one more time; needed to fill Jazz and drive him insane and watch as he came further undone under Devin’s hands.
Jazz was breathlessly chanting Devin’s name before too long, blue eyes screwed shut as he writhed and clutched at Devin with one hand while tangling the other in the sheets. Devin admired the paleness of Jazz’s skin; the way Jazz’s slim fingers drifted up Devin’s chest and hooked over Devin’s shoulder.
“So fucking beautiful,” Devin gasped out. Jazz grinned and turned his head, burying his face in the pillows beside him. His cheeks had gone from the normal flush of sex to an even deeper red that spread its way down his neck to the tops of his shoulders. Devin just thrust into Jazz harder, enjoying the yelp of pleasure that escaped him in response.
Moments later, they both cried out, practically in tandem as Devin emptied himself inside of Jazz. They took a few minutes to collect themselves, Jazz nuzzling Devin’s shoulder in a lazy, sleepy way. “Should probably take a shower,” he murmured against Devin’s skin. “Gonna fall back asleep if we stay here too long…”
Devin nodded, gently nudging Jazz. “Gotta make it quick if we’re gonna watch the sunrise, dude,” he said, glancing at the alarm clock beside their bed.
Jazz smiled, his eyes still closed as he brushed his lips against Devin’s shoulder. “You don’t know how to take a quick shower,” he muttered, a teasing lilt to his voice. He snuggled himself further against Devin’s chest before slowly pushing himself away, stretching himself out beside Devin with a heavy yawn. “C’mon, let’s go watch the sunrise then. I just -- I can’t stay in the bed or I’m gonna fall back asleep…”
A languid smile made its way across Devin’s lips, and he pulled Jazz back to his chest, brushing his lips over Jazz’s temple. “Could just do something else to keep you awake..” he murmured, knowing damn well that Jazz wasn’t in any way ready for a second round that fast. But he enjoyed the slight blush creeping across Jazz’s cheeks at his suggestion; the way Jazz just smiled and shook his head with the slightest roll of his eyes.
“Your stamina’s ridiculous,” Jazz muttered, pressing a light kiss to Devin’s cheek. He groaned as he pushed himself out of the bed, stretching once more before scooping up whichever clothes he could find in the semi-darkness. “Might want to turn on a light, sweetheart. It’d be easier for us to get dressed, that way…”
“Say that like you don’t keep up with me,” Devin said, switching on the nearest lamp. It bathed the room in an odd, unrealistic glow and shined on Jazz’s golden hair. Hair that stood up in random directions, now that Devin could really see it. Devin’s private smile grew wider as he thought about how Jazz’s hair had gotten mussed up, in the first place.
“You need to get dressed too, you know,” Jazz said wryly, throwing a pair of Devin’s boxers in his direction. “Those’re clean, right? I found it them in your bag…”
Devin caught the boxers on reflex, feeling his face heat up as he considered sniffing them just to make sure they were, in fact, clean. But Jazz had said he’d grabbed them from his bag, which had somehow ended up in the bedroom after all of the moving around they’d done the day before. As Devin swung his feet over the edge of the bed, he slipped the underwear on quickly and stood. “‘Sokay if I go out there like this, right?” he asked, gesturing to just the boxers and his bare chest.
Jazz raised an eyebrow at that, studying Devin for a moment with his bottom lip caught underneath his teeth. “I mean, I certainly wouldn’t mind if you did, but… isn’t that a little -- exposed for you?”
Devin blinked, folding his arms over his chest and glancing down at himself. He could see the multitude of scars all over his body; the ones just under his ribs from when he’d cut himself deeply with a knife, four years ago. He knew he had an amazing body; legs for days and an ass that wouldn’t quit. But as Jazz neared him, he found himself chewing on his bottom lip. “Not like anyone else’s gonna see me, right?”
“I’m pretty sure we just woke up a large portion of the hotel, sweetheart,” Jazz said with a quiet chuckle. He moved closer to Devin, his eyes drifting down the length of Devin’s body. “But -- I don’t think many people’re gonna stay awake, either, this early in the morning…”
Devin nodded, letting his arms fall away from in front of him. “Don’t think they’re gonna, either,” he said, meeting Jazz’s eyes with a shy little smile. He took Jazz’s hand in his. “Should go outside now before we miss it…”
Jazz grinned and followed Devin without another word, the both of them sliding the balcony doors open and stepping outside into the early autumn air. Jazz breathed the fresh air in deeply, closing his eyes as he held onto the railing. “I’m so glad I said yes to Piere’s invitation,” he said, turning to smile fondly in Devin’s direction.
“Me, too, dude,” Devin said, moving closer to Jazz and wrapping his arms around him from behind. He rested his chin on Jazz’s shoulder, kissing Jazz’s cheek lightly. “‘m so glad I got to meet you for real…”
“Me too,” Jazz whispered, placing his hands over Devin’s and leaning back into his embrace. He looked towards the part of the horizon where there was the slightest hint of lightening -- but Devin found himself drawn to the stairs and the blackness above them. They lived under the same sky after all.
“Love you,” Devin said, the words hardly loud enough to be heard over the quiet, sleepy hum of the city surrounding them.
“I love you, too,” Jazz said. The words left him just as he was turning around in Devin’s arms, meeting his eyes. In the darkness, Devin couldn’t make out the color of them; the light from inside their hotel room cast odd shadows on Jazz’s face. “Nothing’s going to change when I go home, you know,” he said, the words leaving him in a firm rush. “I’m still going to be there for you. I’m still gonna want you more than anything in this world and I’m going to miss you so fucking much, like always. Okay?”
Devin blinked at his words, his mouth falling a little open as Jazz stared at him with absolute seriousness. He let the words wash over him, one at a time, while tightening his arms around Jazz’s waist. Without thinking, he bent forward and pressed his lips to Jazz’s, kissing him softly. Gently. With no further agenda than to offer him what he couldn’t give in words, at that moment, as tears stung his eyes.
“Gonna miss you, too,” he breathed against Jazz’s lips. He squeezed Jazz hard, kissing the side of Jazz’s head as he straightened himself out and looked towards the creeping sunlight.
“It won't be goodbye, you know,” Jazz said, resting his head against Devin’s chest. “I’ll be back, and I’ll get to see you again. I promise.”
Sighing, Devin cradled the back of Jazz’s head with one hand, his fingers tangling in Jazz’s soft hair. He closed his eyes and frowned. “Hope so, dude, but -- if shit keeps getting worse with the Limani…”
“I’m not as worried about them as I am the Liberation Front,” Jazz murmured, pulling away from Devin. He faced the railing once more, his shoulders bunching together as he looked towards the sunrise. “There’s -- likely a splinter group in the Empire. They want similar things and -- when I go home, I have to figure out whether the two are actually connected in any way…”
Devin’s brow furrowed. He’d heard Jazz mention the Liberation Front several times -- though Devin was certain that’s not what the Liberation Front called themselves. If they were the same group the Majerian group had wanted to gain further intelligence on, they preferred the simpler title of the Resistance. But Jazz hadn’t ever mentioned the existence of a similar group in the Empire --
“We weren’t even really sure the group existed until recently,” Jazz said, as if answering Devin’s unasked question. He glanced at him, a slight frown tugging on his lips as he raked his fingers through his hair. “But -- I don’t want to discuss work. Not right now.”
“Oh?” Devin raised an eyebrow. “What do you wanna talk about, then?”
“You,” Jazz answered, his lips quirking upwards as he stood up straight. His smile turned sly, his fingers drifting up the length of Devin’s bare arm. “I want to talk about how much I love you and how beautiful you are, and how I want nothing more than to find a way to take you home with me…”
“Went over this last night, dude,” Devin said. He pulled Jazz close and took hold of one of Jazz’s hands, bringing it to his lips so he could lightly brush them against Jazz’s knuckles. “Think my job’d miss me…”
Jazz pouted, the expression exaggerated for a moment before smiling once more. “I know, I know, but -- a man can dream, can’t he?”
“Got more than I’ve ever dreamed of, right here,” Devin said, snaking his arms around Jazz and pressing his lips to Jazz’s forehead. “You’re just -- fucking everything…” Everything he always thought he didn’t deserve. Everything he could ever want in a partner; in a friend.
Jazz’s eyes shimmered with tears for a moment, a soft, loving smile making its way across his lips as Devin’s words registered. “I’m only everything because I have you,” he said, leaning up to brush his lips against Devin’s.
Devin melted against him, shivering a little as he moved to deepen the kiss. He kept his hands where they were and Jazz did the same, even though he pressed himself as close to Devin as possible as they kissed. When they broke apart, he was slightly breathless, a wide grin still on his lips as he pulled away. Once again, he turned to face the city, his back pressed against Devin’s front as Devin kept his arms wrapped around Jazz’s waist.
Devin wished they could stay this way, forever. Except they fell into a comfortable silence, both watching as the sun crept up over the edge of the horizon, bathing the sky in a multitude of colors. Devin had to admit, it was far more beautiful to watch the sunrise with Jazz in his arms, and just as he was about to say it out loud, Jazz turned to glance at Devin.
“I used to watch the sunrise with Mitchel, sometimes,” he said, a slight frown on his face. He raked his fingers through his hair and sighed, turning to face Devin again and snuggling up against his chest. “I miss him, sometimes. I miss what we had…”
Devin bit his lip, tightening his arms around Jazz and drifting a hand up and down Jazz’s back. “I know, dude,” he said, kissing the side of Jazz’s head. “‘Sokay to miss him. Just -- don’t think the two of you ‘re real compatible, y’know? Might be better this way for you both.”
“I know,” Jazz said, closing his eyes. “I think it is better for us both. I just -- miss him…”
Devin nodded. “Not looking for permission to try to start over with him, are you?” he asked, his lip still caught underneath his teeth.
“No,” Jazz said with a shake of his head. “He made it quite clear that he couldn’t handle my relationship with Savin. He doesn’t want to share a partner, anymore. I’m not going to ask him to make himself uncomfortable just for my sake.”
“Makes sense,” Devin said, brushing his lips against Jazz’s temple. He gave him a squeeze and looked out over the city. “Think you and Savin’re gonna be okay?”
“Yeah,” Jazz said, and Devin could hear the smile in his voice. “We talked a little about him possibly moving in last night, but -- we kind of got distracted…”
“Hope he does, dude,” Devin said, smiling. “Both of you deserve to be happy, y’know? Think that’d help you both a lot, if you lived together.”
“I think you’re right that it would,” Jazz said. He leaned up to brush his lips against Devin’s chin. “Let’s go back inside -- it’s a little colder out here than I thought it’d be…”
Devin blinked, raising an eyebrow as he and Jazz slipped back inside the hotel room. “Used to the cold, aren’t you?” he asked. “From further north than us…”
Jazz just shook his head and rolled his eyes, an indulgent smile tugging on his lips. “I was expecting it to be a little warmer, considering this is just miles away from a desert…” He trailed off, looking towards the alarm clock before drifting his gaze along the floor; over the clothes strewn all over it.
“Can worry about packing later, dude,” Devin said, his voice thankfully remaining steady. He cleared his throat. “Got all morning, don’t we?”
Jazz lifted his eyes from the floor and offered Devin a half-smile, his expression making Devin’s heart ache. “Yeah, we do,” he said, striding over to Devin and stepping over their discarded clothes. As he grabbed Devin’s hand, he said, “I think we both need to take a shower…”
Devin just smiled in response, letting Jazz drag him back towards the bathroom, a quiet laugh bubbling on his lips. “We gonna shower for real or are we just gonna fuck in the shower?”
“Both,” Jazz answered without missing a beat. He pushed Devin up against the bathroom wall, leaning up to brush his lips against wherever he could reach.
Devin just groaned, his smile growing wider as Jazz’s hands roamed over his body. All morning, he reminded himself. He had all morning to enjoy himself with Jazz, and if Jazz wanted to have sex in the shower, he was all for it.
Soon enough, what little clothing they both still wore was shed, and Jazz pulled Devin into the spray of hot water. Devin had only seconds to enjoy the cascade of water before Jazz began scrubbing him down, the washcloth gliding over every inch of Devin’s body. Jazz’s mouth wasn’t too far behind, licking at the newly cleaned areas of Devin’s body the moment the suds were rinsed away.
He tried not to think about how he would miss this -- the careful way Jazz’s hands roamed over his body, the way lowered himself to his knees as he scrubbed down Devin’s legs and crotch. He met Jazz’s eyes just as Jazz took hold of Devin’s half-hard cock, his tongue darting out over his lips. The simple action aroused him the rest of the way -- and the little smirk forming on Jazz’s lips was an image he wanted to burn into the back of his eyes forever.
As Jazz swallowed him, he threaded his fingers through Jazz’s damp hair, threw his head back, and let himself get lost in every sensation Jazz caused him. The hum of the shower did nothing to drown out Devin’s moans; the spray of the shower just increased his sensitivity. His knees buckled and he panted in the thick air, anchoring himself to reality by the way Jazz’s tongue swirled around the head of his cock.
Just a few more hours, his mind whispered. Only a few more hours left and you won’t have this anymore for who knows how long.
He never wanted it to end. He didn’t want Jazz to go home. If only there was some way for him to stay here -- or for Devin to go to the Empire with him, then maybe --
“Stop thinking,” Jazz barked from below, his fingers drifting along Devin’s length in slow, lazy passes. He glared up at Devin, an angry divet forming between brows. “I just -- I want you to enjoy yourself, sweetheart…”
Devin smiled and shook his head, inhaling sharply as Jazz’s fingers tightened around him. “Am enjoying myself,” he said with a quiet groan. “Just -- lost in fucking thought, too…”
Jazz’s glare softened and he, too, shook his head, his mouth nearing the straining head of Devin’s cock once more. “You didn’t sound like you were enjoying yourself,” he said, teasing his tongue along the underside of Devin’s length. Every action he did now was slow, exaggerated. Designed to make Devin a hopeless mess of need.
And it only turned Devin on even more to know that, another low moan escaping him as Jazz lapped at the slit, swallowing whatever precum had beaded there. Devin squirmed, pressing his back further against the wet tiles as Jazz continued his ministrations. The slowness of each action magnified the pleasure created by it, and soon Devin couldn’t think at all except for how he wanted Jazz to suck him harder; how he wanted to come into the back of Jazz’s throat as he swallowed him.
It wasn’t long before Devin emptied himself in Jazz’s mouth; as he felt the low moan escaping Jazz’s lips as Devin came. Jazz swallowed everything, licking Devin clean and chuckling as Devin squirmed and writhed against the tiles in response, over-sensitive to every little action Jazz did. As Jazz rose to his knees, he pulled Devin close to him and leaned up, kissing him hard on the lips.
Devin kissed back, whimpering against Jazz’s lips as he wrapped his arms around Jazz, holding him close. He never wanted to let go. He didn’t want to leave this shower stall and have to start thinking about that afternoon, when Jazz would be packed and leaving. He tried not to notice how Jazz wasn’t hard against him; tried not to notice the way Jazz trembled in his arms, as if he were fighting off a wave of tears himself.
They had to be strong. Had to enjoy the rest of their time together. Except when they got out of the shower, Jazz could barely force a smile across his lips, and Devin reflected Jazz’s uncertain expression. They dressed in silence, they moved out to the living room in silence. As they settled on the couch together, Jazz settled himself up against Devin’s chest, his legs tucked up on the couch underneath him.
“We should get something to eat,” Jazz whispered, rubbing his nose against chest. As if on cue, Devin’s stomach grumbled, which made Jazz laugh quietly into Devin’s shirt. “I think your stomach agrees.”
“Do we gotta go out?” Devin asked, holding Jazz close to him. “Don’t wanna leave the room…”
“We can get room service,” Jazz said, smiling up at Devin. “I don’t think I want to leave the room, either.”
Devin nodded. “Got a menu or something?” he asked, frowning a little.
“Just tell me what you want and I’ll make it happen,” Jazz said, pulling his phone out from his pocket. “I am an Emperor, you know. Might not have any power here in Cliffton, but -- the Imperial Guard should take care of breakfast for me…”
Snorting, Devin felt a wry smile tug on his lips. Instead of responding, he bent forward and kissed Jazz softly on the lips. “Same thing I got yesterday when we went out,” he said, turning himself so that his legs still draped over the edge of the couch but so that he could better hold Jazz to his chest.
Jazz nodded and lifted his phone to his ear. He smiled into it and gave Amelia their order, doing so quickly before gently tossing the phone onto the coffee table in front of the couch. Slowly, Jazz closed his eyes and bit his lip. “Should’ve brought a book out here,” he murmured with a sigh. “I’m gonna fall asleep again…”
“Go ahead, silly,” Devin chided, kissing the top of Jazz’s head. “Can keep an ear out for the food. Don’t gotta pay or anything, right? Just take it from the Guard?”
Jazz shook his head. “I don’t want to go back to sleep,” he said. He slowly pushed himself upright and off the couch. “I’ll be right back, okay? You want me to bring your bag out here?”
“Nah. Still have to pack too, y’know?” Devin answered, whimpering a little at the absence of Jazz’s body snuggled up next to his. He watched with big eyes as Jazz nodded and walked away, only to return with a couple of books a moment later.
Once again, Jazz settled onto the couch and leaned against Devin, this time pulling one of Devin’s arms so that it draped over his front and he stretched his legs over the length of the couch. “You can turn on the TV if you want,” Jazz said, turning to look up at Devin. “I’m just gonna read a little bit, if that’s alright with you?”
Devin nodded and squeezed Jazz with his arm, nuzzling him with the side of his head. “Go ahead, dude,” he said. “Just gonna hold you while you read…”
Jazz nodded, smiling in Devin’s direction before leaning up to press a quick kiss to Devin’s cheek. Soon enough, the two of them fell into a comfortable silence, aside from the occasional drag of paper over paper as Jazz turned the pages. Devin found himself watching Jazz; found himself studying the way his eyes drifted over the page; how Jazz bit his lip in concentration.
“Miss you already,” Devin said before he could stop himself, leaning his head against Jazz’s and kissing just behind Jazz’s ear.
Jazz jumped at Devin’s touch and made a soft, distressed noise as Devin’s words registered. “I miss you already, too,” he said as he turned to face Devin once more. He set the book aside, placing it face down on the coffee table so as to keep his place before he climbed into Devin’s lap and kissed him soundly on the lips.
Devin responded with equal enthusiasm, wrapping his arms around Jazz and absently rolling his hips forward as his fingers drifted underneath Jazz’s shirt. Just as the kiss deepened, there were several loud knocks on the door, which made Jazz groan against Devin’s lips.
“Food’s here,” he said, pushing himself away from Devin with a little growl. Devin sat up, watching as Jazz stormed towards the door to their hotel room -- and he wondered when he began thinking of it as theirs and not Jazz’s. When Jazz returned, it was with their food, and Devin felt his stomach turn and twist.
Jazz looked at him and frowned. “You’re not sure you can eat either, huh?” he asked, settling on the floor in front of the coffee table. He stared at the plates before them, toying with his fork and tapping it against the table.
Devin stared at his food -- one of his favorites, pancakes with berries in them. And though he could feel his stomach rumble in appreciation, he couldn’t bring himself to lift his fork. “Don’t think I can, dude,” he said, turning to Jazz, his bottom lip caught underneath his teeth.
Jazz just snorted and shook his head, a half-smile tugging on his lips. “God, we’re pathetic,” he said with a groan. “We still have time. I don’t get why we can’t --”
“‘Snot enough time,” Devin said, sliding an arm around Jazz’s back and leaning his head on Jazz’s shoulder. “Wanted this more than you know, dude, and now you’re just gonna…”
“Leave again,” Jazz finished for him, sounding as though he were fighting off tears as he said it. He turned to Devin, those tears still shimmering in his eyes as he reached up to cup Devin’s cheek. “It’s not like I can’t come back, though. It’s not like we haven’t been making this work for years without -- without seeing each other in person, before this. So why…?”
Devin couldn’t answer that. Not with words. Not while Jazz’s eyes were filling with tears he kept blinking away, only to have them return. So he did the only thing that felt right -- he leaned in, pressing his lips against Jazz’s. He pulled Jazz close to him, cupping his face with one hand. He could feel the stubble already forming on Jazz’s cheek and tried to memorize the roughness of it.
Jazz squeaked against Devin’s lips, but kissed back, his fingers grasping at Devin’s shirt. He whimpered against Devin’s mouth, yielding to Devin’s tongue as he pressed it forward against Jazz’s lips. The kiss was slow, neither one of them wanting to rush it as they deepened it.
Soon enough, Devin had Jazz on his back on the floor, the coffee table pushed aside to give them more room to move. They hadn’t done anything more than kiss, though they were both breathless, both shivering in the other’s arms once they broke apart. Jazz met Devin’s eyes, cupping the side of Devin’s face as Devin hovered over him.
“Not pathetic,” Devin said, cutting Jazz off before he could say anything else. “Hurts, knowing you’re gonna leave. Knowing you’ve gotta go back home. Just -- want you to stay here with me…”
“I want to stay here with you, too,” Jazz said, his voice wavering some. He cleared his throat, drifting his fingers down the edge of Devin’s neck. “I want to take you home with me and I want to make a life with you and with Savin and I know there are going to be times in my life where I can’t always get what I want, but -- if my people didn’t need me -- if it didn’t mean leaving Savin behind…”
"I know," Devin whispered, licking his lips. He pushed himself upright, pulling Jazz off the floor along with him. He glanced at their food and picked up his fork a second time and nudged his shoulder against Jazz’s. “Should try to eat, dude. Even if it’s just a little bit.”
Jazz just blinked at him in response, a slight smile forming on his lips as he held back a laugh and shook his head. “You’re telling me to eat? The world must be ending…” he teased, his expression softening as he picked up his plate and brought it close to him. Slowly, he leaned back against the couch and found his fork, picking at his food with it. “You’re right that we should, though…”
“Always right, aren’t I?” Devin quipped, leaning back against the couch as well and stretching his legs underneath the coffee table.
He jumped a little as he felt Jazz lean his head against Devin’s shoulder, but relaxed as Jazz smiled up at him. “You always are,” he agreed, poking Devin in the side. “It’s a little unfair, sometimes, you know. I’d like to be fucking right for once…”
Devin laughed, squirming away from Jazz’s finger and bringing his food close to his chest. As he took the first bite, he watched Jazz for a moment, trying to memorize little details like the length of Jazz’s thick eyelashes or the way his smile favored one side of his face over the other. It was one thing to see them and notice them over their video chats, but to see it in person -- to be able and reach out and touch Jazz, it was something else entirely.
They ate in companionable silence, Jazz finishing before Devin and settling his plate down on the coffee table. He stretched out beside Devin, a lengthy yawn escaping him as he curled up against Devin’s left side, clutching Devin’s arm. “You’ll fit in my suitcase, right?” he asked, pressing his lips against the ball of Devin’s shoulder.
Devin almost choked on his food. As he cleared his windpipe, he put his plate down as well and gave Jazz a slight, wry smile. “Fucking flexible, but -- not that flexible, I think…”
“We could always try,” Jazz said, his eyes sparkling with mirth. He straddled Devin’s lap, sliding his hands up Devin’s shoulders. “I don’t need the clothes; I can just leave them here and make more room for you…”
Devin shivered, his mind locking on the sensation of Jazz in his lap; at the warmth and weight of his body and his hands as they slid up his chest. He felt lost in the sensation of Jazz’s fingers brushing against his neck and held his breath as he met Jazz’s eyes -- as Jazz tilted Devin’s chin back, a quiet, half-choked whimper escaping him as Jazz’s lips came down lightly on top of his.
They kissed again, much like they had before when Devin had pulled Jazz close. He could feel the desperation behind it; the need and the want. He wrapped his arms around Jazz’s thin frame, grabbing Jazz’s ass and pushing the smaller man against him. Jazz moaned against Devin’s lips, deepening their kiss.
“Let’s take this back to the room,” Jazz whispered as he pulled away from Devin, breathless. His lips were swollen from their kiss, his eyes glazed over with lust and love. It as all Devin could do to nod, whining a little at the absence of Jazz’s weight on time of him.
Their fingers tangled together as they walked back to the bedroom, Jazz pushing the door to it open and letting Devin walk ahead of him. Jazz didn’t seem to want to let go, not even as Devin sat down on the edge of the bed much like he had Friday night. Instead of climbing into his lap, though, Jazz settled on the bed beside Devin and leaned his head against Devin’s shoulder. He scanned the bedroom, a slight frown forming on his lips.
“I really should pack,” he said with the slightest of cracks in his voice. Just as he began to push himself off the bed, Devin wrapped an arm around Jazz’s waist and held him in place. “Devin…”
“No, dude,” Devin whispered, leaning in to brush his lips against Jazz’s cheek. “Packing can wait a little longer, promise…” He drifted his lips down to the edge of Jazz’s jaw, to just under his chin. “Still got time, don’t we?”
Jazz just inhaled deeply, tilting his head back to give Devin better access to his neck. He squirmed under Devin’s arm, but he didn’t pull away, either. “Just -- let me get my things from the bathroom, at least?” he asked, giving Devin an apologetic smile. “I always leave something behind in hotel bathrooms, you know?”
Devin tightened his grip on Jazz’s hip and nudged him closer to Devin. He nuzzled the junction of Jazz’s neck and shoulder, pressing light kisses to the skin there. “Nope,” he answered, sliding his free hand up Jazz’s front. “Can wait to do that a little longer, promise…”
Jazz made a quiet, half-choked noise. Devin continued to brush his lips over the edge of Jazz’s neck, waiting for any sign to continue and take this further. He wanted Jazz to relax; wanted Jazz to enjoy himself, and if he didn’t relax --
“Kiss me,” Jazz said, the other quiet but firm as he forced Devin to meet his eyes.
He didn’t need to be told twice. Devin cupped Jazz’s cheek with one hand and leaned in. He didn’t kiss hard; he let Jazz determine the pace of it. The desperation in it. As they kissed, Devin found himself lowering Jazz against the bed once more, half-straddling him. He wanted to let his hands roam over Jazz’s lithe form, but he waited. He waited until he felt Jazz moan against his lips; he waited until he felt Jazz’s hips rock against his own, begging for further contact.
When they broke apart, Jazz’s head turned to the side, but Devin gently forced his gaze back on him and not on the clock beside the bed. “Ignore that shit, dude,” Devin said, being as firm as he could be. “Just try’n focus on me, okay?”
“Okay,” Jazz said. He then snorted, a half-smile tugging on his lips as he shook his head. “You sound like me, earlier…”
Devin blinked and furrowed his brow for a moment before he remembered their shower -- how Jazz had all but yelled at him to stop thinking and to start enjoying himself. With a quiet chuckle, Devin just shook his head, too, before he pressed himself flush against Jazz’s front and teased his tongue along the edge of Jazz’s neck.
“Gonna do as I asked, then?” he asked, breathing the words just under Jazz’s ear. He was already working himself out of his pajama bottoms, and he shivered as he felt Jazz’s hands ghosted along his sides.
“I’m gonna try,” Jazz answered, the words straining against the air. He squirmed a little under Devin, a slight flush forming on his cheeks as he said: “Just -- make me forget what my own damn name is -- please...”
Devin just gave Jazz a feral grin in response, tugging Jazz's shirt over his head and his pants off his hips with Jazz's cooperation. Once Jazz's chest was bare, he paused, taking every inch of it in before bringing his lips to Jazz's skin. He flicked his tongue over one of Jazz's nipples, relishing in the broken little gasp escaping him. He teased the other between two fingers, feeling his heart rate speed up as Jazz writhed underneath him, moaning.
He had always known Jazz's nipples were sensitive; he'd watch the way Jazz would play with them whenever they spoke over video chat; how Jazz's eyes would roll back at the mere thought of Devin sucking on one of the pink nubs. And while Devin had paid them their due, the past two days, he hadn't given them quite this much attention before moving his mouth elsewhere.
The results were exactly as he'd hoped they'd be: Jazz, squirming and moaning and clawing at Devin's back, his cock straining and pressing against Devin's stomach as Devin better situated himself between Jazz's legs. He hadn't even kissed or licked Jazz elsewhere, but the other man sounded as though he were ready to come, right then and there.
Slowly, Devin eased up his relentless assault on Jazz's nipples, trailing his tongue down the curve of Jazz's rib cage to his stomach, nipping at the soft flesh there. He kissed along the path of Jazz's happy trail and down to the base of Jazz's cock, drifting his tongue along the length of it and swirling it around the head. Jazz shuddered underneath him, gasping Devin's name as he tangled his fingers in the sheets of the bed.
He tried to memorize and categorize every sound spilling from Jazz's lips -- from the soft little gasps to the long, drawn out and quivering moans. He tried to memorize how his name sounded coming from Jazz's mouth without the interference of technology; how Jazz's voice rose in pitch the more closer he grew to release.
As much as he wanted to swallow Jazz's cock, he didn't. He wanted to tease, get Jazz close to the edge and back off just as he was about to release, over and over until Jazz couldn’t take it anymore. He wanted Jazz as desperate as he could be, begging and squirming and dripping with need.
So he took his time, and Jazz’s fingers soon tangled themselves in Devin’s hair, urging Devin’s mouth further down the length of his cock. His back arched off the bed and he rocked his hips in a valiant effort to find release, but Devin pulled away from him, smirking up at him as he kissed along the junction of hip and thigh. Jazz let out a cross between a laugh and a groan, throwing his head back against the pillows as he writhed under Devin’s lips as they returned to Jazz’s cock.
He listened to the changes in Jazz’s breathing; felt Jazz’s body tense and release as he grew ever closer to orgasm with each dip of his mouth. He could keep going -- except he pulled away just as Jazz’s pitch hit its peak, leaving him a sobbing, whimpering mess as his orgasm was denied.
“Goddamnit, you and Savin both --” he could barely say the words, them leaving him in a slurred rush as he panted at grasped at the sheets. Devin just smirked at him again, kissing his way back up Jazz’s stomach and chest.
“Haven’t forgotten your name yet, right?” Devin quipped, reaching over to the nightstand where Jazz had stashed away their lube. “Can’t let you come ‘til you do…”
Jazz just whined in response, watching the bottle of lube with intense interest and desperation. He spread his legs wider, gliding his hand over his own cock before Devin pinned Jazz’s hand to the bed. “Nope,” he said, kissing Jazz’s hip. “Not allowed to touch yourself, dude. Gonna make you forget all on my own…”
“So fucking unfair,” Jazz groaned, turning his eyes towards the ceiling before covering half of his face with his arm. Devin just took the whining as an invitation to keep teasing, lapping at the budding precum at the head of Jazz’s cock. The shiver that earned him was more than worth the death glare Jazz shot him in response.
“Not unfair at all, just doing as you asked,” Devin said with a smirk, liberally lubing up his fingers before pressing them against Jazz’s backside. He swirled his fingers along the tight muscle there, knowing Jazz would probably come then and there if he shoved his fingers in hard and fast. So he pushed them in slowly, working himself in with a patience he hadn’t been aware he possessed when it came to Jazz.
As he stretched Jazz open, he watched the shifts in Jazz’s expressions; how he seemed caught mid-moan as he rocked his hips to meet the shallow, slow thrusts of Devin’s fingers. He couldn’t get enough of the flush on Jazz’s cheeks; how he jumped off the bed when Devin’s fingers found his spot and struck it with what he hoped was painful precision.
He knew Jazz could come this way -- that all Devin’d have to do is keep pounding that one spot with his fingers without so much as touching Jazz’s cock in the process. But he didn’t want him to come from being fucked alone; he wanted to overwhelm, overstimulate every inch of Jazz’s body, inside and out.
When Jazz began sobbing Devin’s name, he pulled his fingers free and leaned up, pressing his lips to Jazz’s neck. He breathed against Jazz’s skin, relishing in the way Jazz shuddered underneath him. “Ready yet?”
“Please,” Jazz whined, rubbing his backside against Devin’s cock. “I need you, I need you, I --”
Jazz cut himself off with a cry, throwing his head back against the pillows as Devin lined himself up and pushed himself inside. It was slow; excruciating. Jazz was tight and still wet from the lube Devin’d had generously used and he clenched himself around Devin, inviting him to thrust further inward. To rip the smaller man open just like he wanted to be, more than anything.
Devin dug his teeth into Jazz’s shoulder, moaning against Jazz’s skin as he anchored himself and filled Jazz to the brim. He needed a minute, otherwise he’d lose control and start slamming into Jazz just like he’d wanted to be, and that wasn’t the purpose of this. He wanted to worship the other man; wanted to burn into his skin the feel of him underneath him.
So once he’d regained control, he shifted his hips, but only slightly. He could feel the drag of Jazz’s muscles against him, and he soothed the tension in Jazz’s body by sliding one hand along Jazz’s length, gripping him lightly. He was careful to listen to every hitch of Jazz’s breath; to pay attention to the way Jazz’s body tightened around him.
“Devin, please,” Jazz managed, trying to inch himself down the length of Devin’s cock. “I’m so close, I’m so, so fucking close, please…”
Devin stopped everything, but shoved himself further inside, his nails digging into Jazz’s hips. The cry that escaped Jazz lips almost kept him moving, but he remembered he wanted this to last. He wanted to take his time. He wanted to enjoy everything about this lithe body underneath him; about the noises Jazz made and the way his nails now raked down Devin’s back, no doubt leaving marks in their wake.
“So fucking beautiful,” he moaned against Jazz’s neck, no doubt leaving his own marks behind. “Love the way you move under me. Love everything about you when you get close…”
He couldn’t stop the words from spilling past his lips, not as he began to rock himself in and out of Jazz. Agonizingly slow, at first, each little squeak and yelp from Jazz overwhelming his own senses. He could taste the salt on Jazz’s skin; focused on licking away the sweat building on it as Jazz rapidly lost his ability to speak anything other than one word orders underneath him.
When Jazz begged for him to go deeper, he suggested they change positions, so he could take Jazz from behind, with the other man on his knees and his face buried against the pillows. And in the time it took, it helped set Devin’s own orgasm back a little. He needed to hold back just a little longer; needed to give Jazz his all but not come before he did, not when he could tell Jazz was so, so close and had been multiple times.
Except he wanted to hear every moan clearly; he wanted to kiss Jazz and feel him moan against his lips. So without warning he pulled out, gripping Jazz’s shoulder and wrenching it back towards the bed so that Jazz was on his back.
“Need to see your face,” Devin gasped out as he hooked Jazz’s legs over his shoulders. And the glare he was receiving at that moment immediately softened, Jazz’s mouth opening to respond, but no words had a chance to leave it as Devin’s own mouth came down hard on top of it. Jazz moaned against his lips, gasping and squirming as Devin thrust himself back inside.
Devin ached with need, his whole body heating up as he continued to kiss Jazz to the best of his ability while also fucking him as hard as he physically could. The slap of his front against Jazz’s ass brought something out of him and out of Jazz as Jazz could no longer form words. They could barely kiss, they were so out of breath from Devin’s actions. Jazz’s moans grew in pitch again, and this time, when Devin took Jazz into his hand, he didn’t stop when he felt Jazz’s whole body spasm underneath him.
When Jazz came, his back arched off the bed and his heels digging into Devin’s back, as if trying to push the other man away. He let out a strangled, broken cry, his come spilling hot over Devin’s fingers and against Devin’s stomach. Devin all but screamed Jazz’s name into the crook of Jazz’s neck, emptying himself inside the other man not even a second later, his thrusts shuddering to a slow, eventual stop as pleasure overrode everything.
He collapsed on top of Jazz, unwilling to move and break the way their bodies were currently connected. He didn’t care that he was going soft inside of Jazz; Jazz didn’t seem to care, either, as he continued to writhe with residual pleasure, his hands running up and down Devin’s back and sides. He didn’t know how long they stayed that way, the both of them desperately trying to catch their breath, but when he finally lifted his head from Jazz’s shoulder, their eyes met and his breath caught in his throat, tears threatening to spill over.
Jazz just smiled back at him, the expression sad and understanding and soft, and he leaned in, brushing his lips against Devin’s. He didn’t deepen the kiss, but let his lips linger, and Devin kissed back, one small kiss leading to another, and another. When Jazz shifted his hips, it was to separate them, but his hands were sliding up Devin’s sides again, over the places where his nails had dug in a little too hard and had probably drawn blood, all while the two of them kept pressing small kisses against the other’s lips over and over.
When Jazz gently pushed Devin off of him, it was only so he could put Devin on his back. It was only so he could climb on top of Devin, his lips finding Devin’s again and then down the sharp edge of Devin’s jaw down to his neck. “I love you,” Jazz murmured against Devin’s skin.
“Love you, too,” Devin all but sobbed, his body already responding to Jazz’s teases and touches. He might not be able to get hard, yet, but -- if Jazz kept this up…
Jazz gently directed Devin to look at him, smiling down at him with still sex-flushed cheeks. Except the smile was no longer innocent and sad; it was determined, feral, predatory. He drifted his fingers down the edge of Devin’s neck and nudged his nose against Devin’s, whispering, “My turn to make you forget your name,” against Devin’s lips.
Devin’s body went pliant in Jazz’s arms, surrendering to Jazz’s quiet promise made against his lips without a second thought.
He wouldn’t have it any other way.
